Reverse Learning and Teaching

With this lesson you will be playing the role of teacher to your peers. Sometimes it is easier to understand and learn when someone of our own age and experiences is delivering the information. Each of you will be assigned a function in Photoshop that you will research and become experts on. Once you have reached your fullest potential of expertise you will be teaching your peers about the Photoshop function.

For example if you have been assigned the " SMUDGE" tool you will research and find every useful piece of information on the SMUDGE tool.

Requirements include:
1.  you must have 7 resources in which you have gathered information from
2. you must have AT LEAST 3 video resources
3. you will need 3 visual examples of your tool that you created yourself ( must be different)

Yearbook Sales

Top 10 rules for a good poster

Rule 1: Define the Purpose

Rule 2: Sell Your Work in Ten Seconds

Rule 3: The Title Is Important

Rule 4: Choose your colors wisely

Rule 5: Many of the Rules for Writing a Good Paper Apply to Posters, Too

Identify your audience and provide the appropriate scope and depth of content. If the conference includes nonspecialists, cater to them. Just as the abstract of a paper needs to be a succinct summary of the motivation, hypothesis to be tested, major results, and conclusions, so does your poster.

Rule 6: Good Posters Have Unique Features Not Pertinent to Papers

Rule 7: Layout and Format Are Critical

Rule 8: Content Is Important, but Keep It Concise

Rule 9: Posters Should Have Your Personality

Rule 10: You of all people should be proud of your finished product

The goal of this project is to create a promotional poster that lets the student body know that VHS yearbooks are now on sale through the Jostens site at jostensyearbook.com or in the office. The poster must incorporate all 10 rules of poster making. Graphic Design is an art form and all of the posters should display individual creativity

You will be taking a picture of yourself and manipulating it in Photoshop to create and altered you. Maybe you are going to transform half of your face into a lizard or alien. Below are a few examples of altered faces. I can take a picture of you or you may use Photo-booth. I DO NOT WANT PICTURES OF FAMILY MEMBERS OR FAMOUS PEOPLE.

Make sure you are using all of the tools in Photoshop and not just cutting an pasting. Don't forget you can use a texture overlay and change the opacity.
